Photo of the band from The Reflector, the Broadway High School (Rockingham Co VA) yearbook for 1939. Three children of Roy Hawkins Sr. and his wife Pauline Larrick were in the band that year. Evelyn (number 1) and Phyllis (number 3) played clarinet, while Roy "Junior" Hawkins (number 29) played trumpet.
